How much does it cost to charge an EV in Lithuania?
Public charging prices in Lithuania depend on the network and on the charger’s power. Slower AC chargers (up to 22 kW) are usually the cheapest, while fast DC and ultra-fast chargers (150 kW and above) cost more because they fill the battery in tens of minutes rather than hours. This page covers 1,894 public stations and their prices per kilowatt-hour, including VAT.
What the final bill depends on
- Price per kWh — the main part of the bill, shown on the map and in the table.
- Time or parking fees — some operators also charge per hour, especially once charging has finished.
- Session fee — a fixed amount per charge.
- Operator app or subscription — some networks give their own members a lower rate.
So read the price shown as a “from” price: the operator sets the final amount under its own tariff. More on the data source page (in Lithuanian).

Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest EV charging price in Lithuania? ▾
The cheapest public charging price in Lithuania is currently €0.082/kWh including VAT; the median is €0.300/kWh.
How many public EV charging stations are there in Lithuania? ▾
The map currently shows 1,894 public charging stations with 6,210 charge points.
Do I need a Lithuanian app or contract to charge? ▾
No. Under the EU AFIR regulation every public charger must allow ad hoc charging without a contract. Fast chargers of 50 kW and above installed since 13 April 2024 must accept bank cards; older and slower ones often take payment through a QR code in the browser instead.
How often are the prices updated? ▾
Prices and station status are refreshed several times a day from the official Via Lietuva open data feed.
What do AC and DC mean? ▾
AC is alternating-current charging (up to 22 kW), suited to longer stops. DC is fast direct-current charging (from 50 kW), and ultra-fast chargers (150 kW and above) charge an EV the quickest.
Is the price shown the final price? ▾
The price shown is per kWh including VAT. The operator may also charge for time, parking or the session, so the final amount is set by the operator.
