ikrovimo-kaina.lt has no accounts, requires no registration and sells no data. This site is deliberately built to collect as little as possible about its visitors — which is why this document is short.
What we collect
1. Cookie-free analytics (Umami)
We use self-hosted Umami analytics to know which pages and features are used. Umami:
- uses no cookies and creates no persistent identifier;
- does not collect the full IP address — it is used only to derive an aggregate country and is not stored;
- records only the page address, a rough device type, the browser and the referring source;
- counts actions on the site anonymously — for example that a city or network filter was used, an FAQ question opened or a station tapped on the map. Text you type (email, phone, addresses, messages) is never sent to analytics;
- measures how quickly the page loads and responds (technical speed metrics such as load time), so we can make the site faster;
- runs on our own server, so the data goes to no third party and never leaves the EU.
Since there are no cookies and no individual is identified, we show no cookie consent banner — there is simply nothing to ask for.
We do not use Google Analytics on this site and will not.
2. Browser location
On the charging stations on the road page and on the map we may ask permission to use the browser’s Geolocation API, to set the start of a journey or to show your position on the map.
- Permission is asked only after you tap a button — never on its own.
- The coordinates are used only to work out a route and distances and are stored nowhere — not in the database and not in the logs.
- The coordinates appear in the page address so you can save or share the result. If you would rather not, do not share that link.
- You can withdraw the permission at any time in your browser settings.
3. Address search (autocomplete)
When you type a start or destination, the text is sent to our server, which looks the place up through Photon (OpenStreetMap data) and caches the result briefly. Your browser never contacts a third party directly, and the queries are not tied to a visitor.
4. Route calculation
Routes are calculated by our own self-hosted OSRM router, so the start and destination coordinates are never sent to an external routing provider.
5. Map tiles
The map is rendered by OpenFreeMap. When loading tiles, your browser contacts that service, which — like any web server — sees the request’s IP address. OpenFreeMap uses no cookies for tiles and does not track visitors.
6. Cookies
We use only technical cookies needed for the site to work (Laravel’s session and CSRF cookies). We use no advertising, profiling or analytics cookies.
7. Server logs and CDN
Like every web server, ours and the CDN in front of it briefly record access information (IP address, browser type, request path) for security and performance. These logs are used only to investigate incidents and are kept for a short time.
8. The mobile app (Android and Android Auto)
Besides the website there is an Android app, which shows the same stations and prices on a phone and on a car screen (Android Auto). It has no accounts, no registration, no ads and no advertising SDKs. It handles exactly two things:
- Location — precise location or approximate location, in the Google Play Data Safety form’s own words. Coordinates are read only while the app or the car screen is open, and sent to ikrovimo-kaina.lt with the question “which stations are nearby”. They are used only to pick the nearest stations and work out distances: they are stored nowhere — not in the database and not in the logs — are tied to no profile and are given to no one;
- The app neither asks for nor can use background location. Only the precise and approximate location permissions are requested; ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION is not in the app at all, so once the screen is closed or the phone unplugged from the car, no location is read. You can withdraw the permission at any time in Android settings — the app then offers to pick stations by city instead;
- App interactions, again the form’s own term. This is the same self-hosted, cookie-free Umami analytics as on the website: it counts anonymously that a screen was opened, refresh was tapped, a filter chosen or navigation to a station started. At most a number travels with the event, such as how many stations the list found or which filter was picked. No event ever sends a coordinate, an address or a city — Umami derives a rough country and device type server-side from the IP address and the browser string, so it has no need for a position;
- The statistics can be switched off. The app’s home screen has an “Anonymous statistics” toggle; turning it off stops every event — not from the next launch, but immediately. Finding stations works exactly as before;
- No advertising ID, no accounts, no name, email or phone number, no charging history and no sharing with third parties. The app contacts only two servers, both our own: ikrovimo-kaina.lt (stations and prices) and analytics.ikrovimo-kaina.lt (anonymous statistics).
The station and price data in the app is the same as on the website — Via Lietuva, CC BY 4.0; see Data source and methodology.
Questions about the app’s data go to [email protected], like everything else on this page.
9. Station feedback
On a station page you can anonymously mark whether the station worked (“👍 Worked” / “👎 Did not work”) or report a wrong price. No account, name or email is needed.
- what we store: the station, the type of answer and the time; for a price report, also the price you gave, the charging type and the comment;
- We do not store the IP address. So that one person cannot vote many times, we store only a hash derived from the IP address and browser name with a salt that changes daily. The IP cannot be reconstructed from it, and the next day the same visitor’s value is already different, so answers from different days cannot be linked;
- purpose: to show other drivers whether a station works, and to correct wrong prices. A price report is forwarded to the site owner by email;
- we use no cookies for this feedback, other than the technical CSRF cookie already mentioned.
Do not put personal data in the comment — none is needed.
What we do not collect
- Your name, email, phone number or other personal data — there are no forms that ask for them
- An advertising ID or any other advertising tracker — neither on the site nor in the app
- Browsing history outside this site
- Payment data — there are no paid services
- Data about your car or charging habits — what you type into the calculator is processed in your browser only and is never sent to the server
Who we share with
Nobody. We do not sell data and do not pass it to third parties, except where Lithuanian law would require it. Analytics runs on our server, not at an external provider.
Your rights (GDPR)
Because the site does not recognise individual visitors and collects no personal data, in practice we hold no personal data of yours that we could show, correct or delete. To avoid even the aggregate analytics, you can use a browser or extension that blocks third-party scripts — the site will work exactly the same.
Changes
We may update this policy as needed; the update date is shown at the top of the page. If we ever add new data processing features (browser notifications, for example), this document would be extended accordingly before they are switched on.
