Charging an EV on the drive from Warsaw to Vilnius
The drive from Warsaw to Vilnius is about 510.8 km and takes roughly 335 min by car. About 198 km of it is in Lithuania, the rest in Poland. Ultra-fast (≥150 kW) chargers on the Lithuanian section: 61.
On a long drive the fastest charger matters more than the cheapest: a DC charger of 150 kW or more takes a battery from 20% to 80% in roughly 20–30 minutes, while an 11 kW AC charger would need several hours. That is why the cheapest and the fastest charger on the route are shown separately above — they are usually different places.
Prices are per kWh including VAT and are “from” prices: a station can have several prices, and the operator may also charge for charging time, parking or the session. Check the price in the operator’s app before you charge.

Frequently asked questions
Does this page show chargers in Poland? ▾
No. The data comes from Lithuania’s National Access Point (Via Lietuva), which covers chargers in Lithuania only, so stations and prices are shown for the Lithuanian section of the route. For chargers in Poland, look on EIPA, Poland’s official charging map or in the operators’ apps.
Can I charge in Lithuania without an app, paying by bank card? ▾
Under the EU Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR, (EU) 2023/1804) every public charger must allow charging without a contract or registration. Chargers of 50 kW and above installed since 13 April 2024 must have a card reader or contactless device, and older ones of that power on the trans-European transport network (TEN-T) must be retrofitted by 1 January 2027. Lower-power and older chargers often take ad hoc payment by scanning a QR code in the browser rather than with a card reader.
Will my charging app work in Lithuania? ▾
It depends on the app: some networks operate in several countries, others have roaming agreements with foreign operators, and some work in one country only. Before the trip, check whether the app’s map shows chargers on the Lithuanian part of your route and which price applies — roaming prices can differ from the operator’s published ones.
Which currency is charging paid in in Poland? ▾
Charging in Poland is paid in złoty (PLN); Lithuania uses the euro. Paying with a euro card, your card scheme converts the amount, so the final price in euros depends on your bank’s exchange rate and fees.
