The final household price with VAT

The exchange price is the electricity alone. A household bill adds the ESO distribution (network) price, the PSO levy with the supplementary component, and 21 % VAT. On the “Standartinis (standard), two time zones” plan, the exchange price of 23 October 2026 works out at 30.1 ct/kWh.

ct/kWh
Exchange price (electricity) 15.82
ESO distribution price 9.10
PSO levy and supplementary component −0.02
VAT 21 % 5.23
Final price 30.13

Not included: the supplier’s margin (no supplier publishes one we could read, so none is assumed here) and the monthly fees, which are paid whatever the consumption.

On two-zone plans the night hours are cheaper, so a day’s or a month’s final price is worked out from how many of its hours billed at night (all day at weekends).

The ESO and VERT tariffs are in force until 2026-12-31; sources in the home charging comparison.

Frequently asked questions

When are tomorrow’s electricity prices published? ▾

Nord Pool publishes the day-ahead auction prices for the Lithuanian zone every day at about 14:00 Lithuanian time, and they appear on this page at about 15:30. Until then this page shows today’s hourly prices.

Does tomorrow’s price include VAT? ▾

No, by default this is the exchange price excluding VAT. Switching to “Final (incl. VAT)” adds the ESO distribution price, the PSO levy with the supplementary component and 21 % VAT — what a household pays per kWh, excluding the supplier’s margin.

Is it worth waiting for tomorrow when today is expensive? ▾

If you charge at home on an exchange-linked plan and only need the car tomorrow, yes: the gap between a day’s dearest and cheapest hour is often several times over. The cheapest hours are almost always at night, between 00:00 and 06:00.
